Acerca del evento
Event Description:
DenCoKID is a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to raising dyslexia awareness in the Denver metro area. We achieve this mission by hosting dyslexia simulations twice yearly for the community and upon request by local groups, fostering greater empathy for individuals navigating dyslexia in their daily lives. Operating solely with the support of volunteers, including parents, educators, and community members, we rely on their dedication to help facilitate our simulations. If you've participated in a simulation and are interested in becoming a simulation volunteer, we invite you to attend a brief orientation following our next community event.
During the orientation, you will:
- Receive a simulation station leader guide and script.
- Be equipped with instructions and helpful tips.
- Have the chance to practice using the script.
- Be given ample time to ask any questions.
Attending the orientation entails no obligations, and volunteering is entirely based on your availability and interest.
We eagerly look forward to your participation and the opportunity to expand our volunteer team!
